DURERS'S YOUTH
Albrecht Durer was born in Nuremberg. On the beaches of Normandy in about 1856/1857 he met fellow artist Eugène Boudin who became his mentor and taught him to use oil paints. In 1957 a memorial was erected in Westminster Abbey, in memory of him and his wife.
